Dorte Mandrup-Poulsen (born July 26th, 1961) is a Danish architect, founder and owner of the architectural practice Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter which is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

She graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1991. From 1991 to 1992 she studied sculpture and ceramics at the G.S.C Art Department in the United States. She then went to work for Henning Larsen Architects for a few years before, in 1996, co-founding Fuglsang & Mandrup-Poulsen with Niels Fuglsang. This firm was eventually split in 1999 when Mandrup set up her current practice, Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter. It was founded on 30 June 1999 and is based in Copenhagen. Dorte Mandrup is guest professor at Cornell University (2018), guest professor at University of Washington (2012-2014), adjunct professor at Lund University, Dept. of Building Conservation (2011-2014) and honorary professor at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture from 2011.

With 25 years of professional experience and a line of internationally recognized iconic buildings is Dorte Mandrup renowned for her artistic talent and expertise in solving complex problems - offering solutions that are playful, innovative and poetic. Dorte Mandrup works “hands on” and in close interaction with all project teams and has design responsibility for the layout of every project in the studio.Among other professional appointments, Dorte Mandrup is a board member at Louisiana Museum of Modern Art (since 2011), an appointed member of the Historic Buildings Council, and was invited to exhibit at 16th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia in 2018.
