1 of 2MODULAR

Mojca Gregorski is a Slovenian architect who graduated from the Faculty of architecture at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia in 2000. Afterward, she attended a Ph.D. study at the same faculty and studied abroad at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. After several years of internships, she established her own office named MODULAR arhitekti, which employes two other architects – Matic Lašič and Miha Kajzelj. Besides being the leading architect of the office, she works at the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana as an assistant professor and as a co-mentor.

Her architectural portfolio mainly consists of public buildings, like kindergartens and sports halls. When creating contemporary architecture she focuses on spatial context, social influence and detailed use of materials, so the architecture does not interrupt its environment but rather intertwines with it.

She has received 3 Golden pencils from Chamber of architecture, Plečnik's medal, and has been nominated twice for Plečnik award, once for Piranesi award and twice for Mies van der Rohe award. Besides those awards and nominations, she won many other awards in public competitions. In 2011 the University of Ljubljana rewarded her with honorable recognition for her international visibility. Three years later she became one of the "40 under 40" architects in Europe selected by Chicago Athenaeum.
